And I also had a random thought: I've had several new people begin following my blog lately, and while I'm happy to have readers, speak up! I share my life with you, share a little bit with me. Even just a "hi" so I know you're a real person. I don't think I'd ever delete a follower, but I do find it a little weird that there are people who know so much about me and I know nothing about them....
Off to lunch. No fish from the back of a pick up though, rest assured.
We're knowingly posting in a public venue and so the following is par for the course. I don't find it all weird.. only flattering to know that people want to read what I have to say, on a regular basis.
ReplyDeleteI think I'll make fish for dinner.. ;)
Congrats on the new followers!
ReplyDeleteIs that a deep freezer? My thinking: The word "fish" is to throw you off from the fact there's something much more morose inside. I can't be specific and say what.
I'm so sorry. That's the way a writer's mind works. Mine, anyway.
Perhaps the sign is a recreational suggestion? A command?
ReplyDeleteIt was a freezer, of some sort, a smallish one anyway, and fish was written in the same manner on every side. It was very beaten up, as was the truck.
ReplyDeleteOh, Janna, spooky.
Merrily, maybe I should take it as a recreational suggestion! That would be a fun past time for this weekend...
Side convo: Thanks! What I'll tell you is, the present tense version is from the prologue in my current WIP. And then the book itself takes on past tense. For now, anyway. :)
ReplyDeleteI've bought shrimp from the back of a truck like that, also meat. And it was all excellent.
ReplyDeleteNot sure if it's a noun or a command. Maybe it's the fish equivalent of 'Repent' outside churches, encouraging us to go fish, like Huck Finn.
ReplyDeleteHope all is well and that the headaches ease back.
I'm sure you know far more about me than you want to from my blog, right?
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean, when ever I see a new follower I always look to see if they have a blog so that I can learn about them..... some don't and then I start to wonder why they would want to follow mine. I must be fascinating......
ReplyDeleteI always wonder if all the people who say they follow actually do. The comments are always far less than the widget.
ReplyDeleteI guess people follow..because they relate..sometimes you come across a blog that you can really relate and mirrors some of the
ReplyDelete" internal mental wonderings" we all do..and sometimes keep inside...but I know what you mean..it would be nice to recieve some of thier thoughts.....the ones that do not have a blog always make me wonder...who is listening??? have a great day Marlene
As a blogger of just over a month and a follower of your blog for just a few days, I want to say HI. I linked you from another blog and find it refreshing to find a blog about everyday life.
ReplyDeleteTony
P.S. That looks like a truck you might see driving down the roads near my house. Got to love being in the south.
